MARKET REPORT
Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants, Wellington, report that seasonal fruits have once again commanded keen attention. Brorfze plums, loquats and gooseberries have been in particularly keen enquiry, while hothouse tomatoes have advanced in value. Flower auctions have also been well attended, all seasonal blooms being placed to advantage. All varieties of vegetables have been short, high rates ruling. Cabbage have been wanted and peas, beetroot and white turnips have been sought. Smaller supplies of poultry have been offered, prime birds realising steady values.
