WOMEN'S INSTITUTES
KOPUTAROA'S MEETING The monthly meeting of the Koputaroa Women 's Institute was held recently, Mrs. C. Koberstein presiding. The feature of the meeting was an address by the officer in charge of the Kimberley Farm, Mr. C. A. Guy, who outlined the work of the farm. At the close of the address it was decided that a donation be made' to the farm's Christmas party fund. A letter was received from one of the institute's links in England, acknowledging receipt of the Christmas parcels and gifts sent recently, and expressing appreciation of - the • Koputaroa Institute's action. A Christmas novelty competition was won by Mrs. C. Koberitein with Mrs. Hurliman second and Mrs. Guy third. Audrey Storey won the junior competition. A flower display resulted as follows: — Best flower: Mrs. Hurliman. Best shrub: Mrs. Sanson. Junior: \udrey Storey. During the meeting Deborah Guy and Audrey ouorey entertained with recita'.ions. Afternoon tea was served by Meslamcs Stratton and Hurliman.
