SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME

"BRITISHER."

Sir,— Thousands of people would read the advertisements in the eity newspapers stating that private transport, and the "private car," should be taken off the road. All transport should be controlled and co-ordinated, and buses used instead of private cars. Most people reading such statements regarding the "private car" would ignore them as the output of the mind of a crank. They were not so "cranky," but the sane idea of the Communists. To control transport is also the policy of ultimate socialism — of the Labour Party. When socialisation really gets going there is no knoWing where it will end. Assisted by their Communist friends, we would soon bc quite controlled and have no freedom of movement. Our once independent free life would have no joy, but would be a misery to British people. It is a very serious matter and bchovcs every person, especially the young votcrs, to think well before casting his or her vote for ultimate socialism. Yours etc.,

Levin, Nov. 25.
