TRIBESMEN RUSH VILLAGE
TROUBLE IN AZERBAIJAN Received Monday, 11 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 24. Tabriz radio has broadcast c. report from Zenjan that 500C armed tribesmen yesterday rushei the town, killed twenty, besieged Government buildings and looted shops. The Persian Prime Minister, M. Sultaneh, has declared a state of emergeney in Zenjan. M. Sultaneh sent a telegram to the Governor-General of Azerbaijan, Dr. Javid, informing him thaf Persian troops have been ordered to Zenjan to supervise the elections commencing 011 December 7. M. Sultaneh 4 told Dr. Javid ro inform the Azerbaijan people of the decision. He explained that the Government's intentions are onlv to make sure that genuine deputies are elected to Parliament. More troops are heading northward out of Teheran today.
