Received Sundav. 8..'! 5 p.m. SAX FRAXPISPO, Xov. 23. Most of the Pacilic coast waterfront which has been strikebound since September 30, was open for business again tonight. (rangs of wharf laliourers were sent to dischargo eargo from 200 idled vessels when the piekets were withdrawn following ratilication of the eontract terms betweon the shipowners and Masters, Mates and Pilots' Union. The terms provide generally for a 11 per cent. salary increase plus room, subsistence and travel allowance. In Seattle and the I'uget Sound port area. the 14-day tie-up was prolonged by a local dispute betweon the Waterfront Kmployees' Association and A.F.L. c.hecker and supercargoes over the number of checkers and supercargoes to be hired.
