FIRE AT HEALTH CAMP

SMART SAVE BY STAFF At about 1 p.m. yesterday the siren sounded another alarm and the second in two days. This time there was an outbreak of fire at the Health Camp. Miss Bennett, who happened to be in the washout and laundry at the time, heard a roar, and on looking round noticed the wall of the boiierroom to be alighu. She gave the alarm promptly and the'camp's hose was soon brought into use by the ladies of the staff, and the flames were brought under control. Nothing, however, was left to chance, and the fire engine, manned by several brigadesmen was soon on the scene. They gave the outbreak every attention by removing sheets of iron and making use of the water supply. Very little damage was done. There was a fair attendance of the public, while the staff and the 100 children in the camp were interested spectators.
