"1 liave in my possession a printed leaflet containing biographical notes and a photograph of oue candidate which was sent to rne from Japan," he said. "No doubt other Na tional candidates adopted siniilar methods. Even the National I'arty wil: be forced.to conceile that tl\is definitely constitutes Party [iropaganda and a breacli of the agreeineiit. " JMr. McDonald said another letter conlained the phrases: " We could do with. a b;t niore honesty in Governmenl here" and " There 's a big job to clean out graft and give the straiglit shooter a cliauce. " It would lie evident to the public, Mr. AlcDonald concluded, that tlie National Party had broken its given word in order to achieve its political pnds.
