TRIAL OF GERMAN DOCTORS
MASS KILLIN GS ALLEGED Received Friday, 11 a.m. NUREMBERG, Nov. 21. The second ipass war crimes trial opened' at Nuremberg today when 23 German doctors appeared 011 charges arising from the deaths of hundreds of thousands of agedi in^ sane, incurable and deformed p^r3011s. The prosecution also charges that the doctors killed many subjects with the experiments in f'reezing, poisoning, administering infectious bacteria, and biology. Some charges relate to the provision of 112 skeletons for Strasoourg University. It is alleged the doctors killed and defleslied the required number of Jews. The accused include Hitler's doctop, Karl Brandt, Himmler's personal physican and the president of the German Red Cross, Karl Gerhardt, the chief doctor at Buchenwald, Waldemar Hoven, and a woman doctor at Ravensburg, Herta Oberliauser. All accused pleaded not guilty. The American Chief Proseeutor, General Telford Taylor, read the indictment, after which the court, which was wholly American, adj ourned to December 9.
