HOTEL BARS TO CLOSE
WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. Hotel bars throughout New Zealand will be closed at 110011 011 polling day. The New Zealand United Licensed Yietuallers' Association, in a statement to liccnsees and all others coneerned, said today: "Attention is drawn to the faet tliat 011 election day it will be unlawt'ul to sell intoxicating liquor in anv licensed' premises to anybodv, even boarders or guests, between the hours of 110011 and 7 p.m. Hotel bars niust close at 110011:" Further the Association announced: "It is not lawful to sell intoxicating liquor to anv Mauri ou the day on whicli anv election for a Maori district is held. It is to be noted that tlie Maori poll will be taken on Tuesday next, November 3(5."
