TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY One of the most picturcsque events in Western annals — the discovery of Nevada's famous Comstock Lode, is the background for RKO-Radio's exciting new outdoor romance, "Nevada," screening tomorrow and Wednesday at the Renown Theatre. Based on the Zane Grey novel of the same name, the film vividly tells how Prospector Comstock and the miners who followed him to his new strike nearly abandoned it in the belief that the blue clay which hampered their diggings was worthless, and how they finally learned of its fabulous silver content which made the Comstock the greatest silver bonanza in history. Against this historical setting is told the thrilling romance of young Jim Lacey, a cowpuncher who follows a beautiful girl gambler to the Lode and immediately finds himself in trouble. Filled with action and suspense, the picture is far above the usual "Western" offering and provides a wealth of entertainment to screen fans.
