A LIKELY TYPE FOR STEWARDS'
Comic Soqg seored two sensationiil wins in the Btewards' Handicap for Mr. A. H. Fisher, Dunedin, in 1925, and again the following year. The WinkieHeotch Melody gelding returned great dividends, being twentietk favourite on the first oeeasion and thirteenth the second time. The Fisher eolours will be represented in the Stewards ' again this year, though the improving Red Piekie is not likeiy to be at sueh liberal odds. The Wingatui trainer, D. fc>. Jarnieson, has the live-vear-oid KalmagundiLumiere gelding unbeaten in two starts this season, one being in open eompany. Though he was nou opposed by strong opposition in the Federai Handicap at Wingatui early last month, Red Pickle eould not have won the sprint more easily. lie was slow away, and was then rushed up ou the inside to take the lead at the end of a furlong. From that point he was not tested, and won by three lengths from Air Aee. Red Pickle was the picture horse of the day, and as he is 'certain to progress he may prove a formidable rival at Riccarton.
