JOCKEYS RAISE OBJECTION
Because of tlie keen and boisterous weather the joekeys riding at the Feilding meeting on Saturday objected to being sent to the post earlier than 12 minutes prior to the oflicial starting time. A steward of the club informed the representatives of the joekeys that if they persisted in their attitude the day's raeing might be abandoned, but the joekeys were not perturbed. Later when it was pointed out that the programme was getting behind schedule, and a request was made for their eooperation, the joekeys agreed to go to the post a little earlier, but the last racc was run 16 minutes after the advertised time, nevertlieless.
