Explosives were used in a burglary at the Waiuta Post Offiee on Sunday. It was discovered at 10.30 p.m. that the safe had bgen blown open and the cash and contents officially described as "a fair sum" are missing. Detectives from Greymouth are investigating. Waiuta is an isolated goldmining township 48 miles from Greymouth.
