GIRL'S MARCHING TEAMS
TOMORSjOWS DtSPLAY IN LEVIN At 2 p.m. on Sunday, when mfenibers of the K.B.H. ahd 'Caledon'ian marching teams parade round the oval at the Levin Fark Domain in their new uniforms, it will mark the commencement of an afterhoon that promises to be varied and interesting1.. The programme will consist of items by the Levin Municipal Band, under the baton of Mr. G. R. Lester, dispiays by the K.B.H. marching teani, items by the Horowhenua Highland Pipe Band under Drum-Major J. MacFarlane, the Caledohian marching team, the flrst appearance of the Levin Boys' Band in a marching display, an exhibition of drill by the K.B.H. and Caledonian marching teams and a combined display by the two teams. This is the flrst time in New Zealand that two separate teams have combined, and the gifls have been practising very hard sin'ce cheir flrst appearance to make this item a success. Fu'rther items by the pipe and silver bands, and the combined teams, will . concl'ude the programme. The assistance of the three local bands is a gesture much appreci-' lted by the giifls, and it is to be noped that the public will attend in large numbers. The tealns are a decided asset to Levin, and in the near future more will undoubtedly be formed^ .
