DANNEVIRKE, Nov. 13. . Mr. S. G. Holland addressed a crowd ed meeting at the Dannevirke Town ilall this afternoon. "I have been ; asked whether I am able to make an unquali/ied statement as to whether the N'atioual Party would, in the event oi any reeession in overseas prices, make a capital levy oh people 's assets and savings in order to make good any deflciency in thc national income. A capital levy is the very antithesis of our whole policy and that we would adopt tliis course is just one of those wild rumours circulated by our oppon ents in an effort to stay our progress. Our plans for uieeting any reeession oi overseas prices are clearly set out in our policy and I tliink tliat these pro posals have received widespread public approval. These questions and rumours are very easy to start. I have given an unqualilied statement that the Na tional Party will npt make a capital levy. and I ara wondering whether tlie Labour Party would itself be prepared to make a similar statement." A vote of thanks and confidence was entkusiastieally carried unanimously. v
