Mrs. C. W. Duntumb, Dominion president of thg; Baptist Women's ,'Iissionary Hnion, and Rev. C. W. lunciimb, of Timaru, are visitors o Levin as the gues"ts of Mrs. A. fcmlimon, Devon Street. The death occurred ih Auckland /esterday of Mr. A. L. Braisby, aged >4 years. He had been inspeetor in .harge of the Samoan constabulary Hnce 1924. Recently he carne to Auckland for medical reasohs. Mr. Jraisby served iii the Boer War md in the First World War. He /as a member of the force guardng von Luckner at Motuihi. He ransferred to the Samoan Arrned Constabulary in 1920, remaining */ifh the Samoan police when the ;onstabulary was disbanded.
