AUCKLAND, Nov. 12. Tlie large amount of air traffic at Whenuapai today almost resembled the activity on a large metropolitan ail'porl and the air movements stalf of" the station was kept continuously engaged in receiving or despatehing aircraft. Apart from ihe two internal services which arrived and departed, the stall attended the Cuthay Paciftc Dakota which left at 9.30 a.m. for 'Nqrfolk Island and a Lodestar aircraft which left Whenuapai for Tonga, while the regular scheclule aircraft for Japgp also took off from the aerodrome. Arrivals included Ihe Pan-American clipper East Tndian, special aircraft from Norfolk Island, American aircraft from Ton louta the Bouth Paciftc regional service plane and the scliedule flight from .Tapan. The Lodestar aircraft which left for Tonga was forced to return because of radio trouble and will take off for tlie journey tomorrow. 0
