OBITUARY
MRS. J. A. WILKINSON There passed away in the Wel.ington Hospital on T-hursday even■ng, following a short' illness, Mrs. ister Emmeline Wilkinson, beloved vVife of Mr. J. A. Wilkinson of 19 \rgentine Avenue, Miramar, and mrinerly of Shannon. The late Mrs. Wilkinson, who was m her 55th year, was very wellknown locally, and was a tireless vvorker for the Church of England in this town. As Miss Silvester, she came to Shannon some 37 years ago and three years. later married Mr. J. A. Wilkihson, who was the proprietor of the motor' "garage here; or a number of. years, About three /.'■ars agi>, when Mr. Wilkinson pur--iiascd ihe picture theatre at Plimnerton, they lcft Shannon to take ip their residence at Miramar. Lef-t to mourn her passing is her busband and three children, Louie 1 Mrs. R. Thwaites) , Lena.and Basil, hree sisters, Mrs. W. Law, Mrs. 'Tarrington and Mrs. Mason, and ohree brothers, Messrs. J., G., and A. Silvester. Tlie funeral, which was largely ittendod by relatives and friends from all parts of the district, left for ihe Karori Cemetery on Saturday morning, following a service at he Church of England at Miramar.
