The J steamef Ypehotv from Hong lvong is due ' at Sydney on November 21 with 50 j refugees and the Eastern,' due towards ] the end of the month, lias more from | Slianghai. ! ' So far 150 Jews have arrived froiii 1 Hong Kong by three ships and 250 more ; are aWaiting passages. Alost of them | are living at the fashionable Kowloon ! Hotel on the mainland.
A tank landing ship from Singapore today broitght 116 Royal Navy men who Lntend to settle here. The men wasted no time when the vessel berthed but juinped over the railings on to tlie wharf aiul embraeed their womenfolk. Most of the men served in Australia I during the war and are niarried to Aus- j j tralian girls. Others are dissatisfied with coiulitions in Britain. Alfred Weston, of Watford, Loiulon, will train as a Methodist Minister in Western Australia and will then go to New Zealand to marry his fianeee.
