MARKET REPORT
Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants, Wellington, report that gooseberries have met with a very keen enquiry during the past week, values showing an improvement upon last rates quoted. Passionfruit ■ is also wanted, while a ready sale exists for bronze plums. Tree tomatoes and hothouse tomatoes have also sold readily, while all varieties of citrus have been placed at ceiling. Flower saies have again been well attended, values showing ^ an improvement on last quotations. All varieties of vegetables have also' been sought, asparagus, cabbage, lettuce and cauliflowers being in particularly keen enquiry.
