Brought to New Zealand. under 3ngagement to the Lancaster Park Cricket Club, Mr. J. H. Parks, the well-known Sussex all-rounder and former All England player, has arrived in Christchurch. Dr. E. T. G. Miller, of Levin, has left England by the Rangitiki, and is due to arrive home early next month. On the cessation of hostilities Dr. Miller, who was then serving with the 2nd N.Z.E.F., went to Scotland and has been on the stafi of Edinburgh Hospital for the last twelve months. Dr. M. N. Paewai, the Maori All Black, has accepted an appointment with the Hokianga Hospital Board. Dr. Paewai has been an outstanding Rugby half-back for somi seasons. He has represented the North and South Islands in this position and also Otago and Wellington. He captained the New Zealand Maori team which defeated Australia at Hamilton this spasou by 20 points to 0.
