DESPERATE FOOD SITUATION
RDHIt NEAK MASS STARVATION Reccivetl Thursday, 10.10 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 6. The food position in the Ruhr is' so desperate that an urgent appeal has been sent to the commander-in-chief by officials, asking what can be done immediately towards br^nging in emergency supplies, says Reuter's Dusseldorf correspondent. The officials say that "something like a miracle" is needed to avert mass starvation. Food stoeks in general are sufficient for only two days.
