Keith Jacka Holyoake, farmer, was nominated today for the Pahiatua seat as the official National candidate. Rev. W. T. 'Blight, B.A., B.D., will be the speaker at St. John's Methodist Church tonight. Mr. Blight is a well-known author and lecburer, and has recently travelled throughout both islands. His subject will be one of interest andjmportance. The death occurred in the Palmerston North Hospital this morning of Mrs. W. H. Ransom, a wellknown resident of Levin. The latfi Mrs. Ransom, who was 57 years of age, had resided in Winchester Street for a number of years. She is survived 'by her husband, one scn (Stewart) and one daughter ( Jean) . The funeral takes place at Levin on Saturday,
