Racing to the mile Russia moved up smartly in to second piave behincl Valeurl. At tlie six furlongs Valeurl was just ahead of Russia, Cliief Pilot, Leonard, Earlmond and Star Act. Al the lialf mile Earlmond led Valeurl, Russia, Leonard, Elying Duke and Rubontine. Earlmond led round the turn Valeurl, Russia and Leonard. Wlien the straight was reaehed, Russia dashed to the front and weut right away to win by five lengths. On Target defeated Carey by lialf a head for second place. Leonard was fourth followed by Prince Standard, Ivnockarlow, Eirst In, Two Grand, Plcdget, Cordale, Puuctilia, Spam, Proctor, Oatcake, Arduli, Elying Duke, Miss Prim, Concerto, Star Act, Valour aud Red Eury.
