WAXGAXUl, Xov. 5. Five wagons attached to a mixed Iraia bound from Marton to Wanganui, "wero derailed near Matarawa siding, oue and a half miles south of Okoia station, at 10. 10 this morning. Nobody wtts lnirt but the track was not cleared until 1.20 p.m. The Xew Plymouth-Wellington express was the iirst niajor train afl'ected. With .100 passengers aboard, this train was liebl at Aramoho but passengers for tlie South Island with steamer bookings and also those with connections for Ihe Main Trunk line, were eonveyed from Aramoho to Fordell in buses and there they eonnccted with a special train whic.lt left at two o'elock. Tlie Wellington to Xew Plymouth express was dolayed more than an hour and tlie Xew Plymouth Wellington express got away eventually three hours 10 minutes late.
