The Levin branch of the Manawatu Trades Cou'ncil rec'ently Corhmunicated with Mr. J. Thorn, M.F., asking him to endeavour to arrange a date with the Minister for hihi "to receive a deputation. A r'eply has how been received from Mr. Thorn, pointing out that owing to the 'election it would not be possible to arrange the d'eputation until that Was over. The branch will .pursUe the matter as soon as the electibn is over, and When the date has be'en fixed with the Minister the meeting of the representatives appointed will be called to form the deputation.
