. CHBISTCHU KCH, Nov. 4. That it was the inteutiou of the Natioual Partv, if elected, to cooperate with local bodies by lindiug the necessary linance for suitable accommodation for young women and clderly people in cities, was stated by the Leade'f of the Partv, oMr. G. G. Hollaud, when he answered a questioner at his St. Andrew's Hall meeting this eveniug. The questioner said young women were rooming under deplorablc conditions in cities. Would Mr. Hollaud be prepared to put forward a proposal fer the buiidiug of suitable flats for themV Mr. Hollaud replied that elderly people had also to be considered. Local bodies were best able to provide accommodation for these people if they reeeived Government assistance.
