R.A.F. NEEDS RECRUITS
LONDON, Nov. 4. The R.A.F., through extensive demobilisation and a disappointing rate of reeruitment, is in danger of being "grounded" bv the shortage of personnel capable of servicing planes, savs tlio Dailv Herald's aviation winter. The grave clearth of ground staflp was grapliically illustrated when a "striking force" of Beau/ighters and ATosquitoes, detailed yesterday to make an exorcise attack on Ilome Fleet returning from Ihe Channel, had a total strength of nine planes. They were all 'that could be raised from tlie two reniaining "strike" squadrons whio.'h would normallv have sent twelve planes each on such a mission.
