■ WELLINGTON, Nov. 3. A new Dominion award for clerieal workers lias beeu made by the Courl of Arbitration. Increases in tlie sqale of miniinum weekly wages for males range from 3s Gd to 5s. The linal rate of ii(i 5s represents an increase of 5s. Increases in the scale of wages for females range from 3s 6d to 6s. The final'rate of £3 17s Od represents an increaes of 2s 6d. Tlie payment to be made to women operating certain offlce machines is increased froiu os to 6s. Tlie wage rates are subject to tlie Court's two cost of Iiving bonuses. Overtime, to be computed on a daily basis, is to be paid for at time and a half rates for the first three hours and thereafter at -double rates with a miniinum of ls 6d an hour. Time worked on Saturdays in addition to norma! working hours, is to be paid for at time and a half for the first three hours and double time thereafter. Time worked after noon on Haturdays when no work has been perforaied 011 Saturday morning, is to be paid for at double ordin.ary rates. Time worked 011 Sunday is to be paid for at double time rates except for workers in newspaper ofliccs and passenger transport companics. The following are to be observed as holidavs: — Christnias Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Labour Day, birthday -of the reignilig sovereign, Anniversary Day or another day instead. Holidays'falling on Sunday are to be obserVed on the following working day. For Work done on these holidays double time is to be paid in addition to the weekly wages wliere mntuaJly agreed on, with the eonseilt of the union.
