SENSATIONAL DIVIDEND
A liandful of backers at tlie Rangi tikei Uacing Club's meeting at Bulls on .Saturday collected oue of tlie largest win dividends returned in this part of the island for some time. Supported to the extent of £7 10s on the win machiiie, and £20 on the place, Master Raymond, hitherto unknowu to form followers, dashed to the front earlv in the secoud division of the Trial Plate and was never hoaded. Great was the jubilance among his supporters when his win diVidend of ovcr a century and two score was posted and, although insigniiicant in coinparison, the place return was over a score. Master Raymoud was having his socond start, his first appearanec being at the Otaki meeting on October 12, when he finished second to last. 1 1 o is a five-year-old gelding by Wheriko from an unnamed maro by Thomond and prior to making his debut on the turf did duty as a drover's liack. Ile is ownedj by JMr. E. Miies and is trained by B. j Williams at Otaki, and tlie report isj that liis connections were nol confideiil ■ of success and failed to participate in| the lucrativo ouds.
