There was a good muster of players and the prize winners were Mesdames W. Radford, R. Andrew and J. Sinclair. Church Sale of Work A successful sale pf work for church funds was held on Friday afternoon by members of the Methodist Ladies' Guild. The Rev. Mr. Coatsworth declared the sale open and brisk business continued throughout the afternoon. Stall holders were: Sewing,' Mesdames S. W. Carter, A. E. Tremewan and A. Tennis Club Opeiiing At a meeting of the committee of the Shannon Tennis Club, held on Tuesday evening, . it was decided that the club would open its 194647 season on Saturday afternoon. The secretary was instructed to cxtend invitations 'to visiting clubs and interested members of the public. It was reporte^ that the courts were in very good condition, and thanks were extended. to all who had worked sd hard and spent so much of their spare time on the courts.
