| WELLINGTON, Oct. 31. j Security of tenure siuiilar to that given to tenants under the Fair Rents , Act, has been extended to tenants of ! business premises by an amendment to j the Etabilisation Emergeney Kegulaj tions, gazetted tonight. The amendment specilical]}r limits the grounds upon wliieh a landlord may recover possession, to the follovving: (1) Nonpayment of rent, (2) failure to take reasonable care, (8) beeoniing a nuisanee, (4) where possession of property is reasonabiy required by the landlord for his own occupation, (5) part of property in exeess of that reasouably requi'red bv lenant, (6) when property has been sold and the fiew owner reasouably reijuires it for his own occupaney. Apart from 2 and 3 above, appiieation must be made to the Court bei'ore possession can be secured and (he Court must consider the degree of hardship ■ as between Ihndlord and tne Lenant and in cerlaiu cireumstauces niust. be satisfied i.hal suitable alteruative accommodation is available.
