Tlie Arclibisliop of Canterbury, as President of the British Council of C'hurches, is heading a depntation to the Ilome Secretary to urge the need for eurbing eommercialised aiid mass gambling. At yesterday's meeting of the eouncil, Canon Leonard Hodgson said a little gambling was not a bad thing. There were sorao people who would improve sjiiritually by a little good gambling. The Arclibisliop of Canterlmry pointed out that they were attacking mass j gambling. "When you take what may be a harinless amusemeiit and exploit it on a grand seale for profit, tlien it becomes a gigantio evil."
