MR. ADAM McLEOD

The death occurred at Palmerston North Hospital recently of Mr. Adam McLeod, of Sussex Street, Levin. The late Mr. McLeod, who was 75 years of age, was born in Sefton, Canterbury, but spent most of his life in the North Island, particularly in the Shannon locality, He was for some years manager of the Whitanui Flax Mill, and was associated with the drainage of Dr. Chappel's estate, Shannon. He was also a member of the Buckley Drainage Board, Shannon. In 1905 he married Miss Elsie May Anderson, of Wellington. ■ For the past 28 vears the late Mr. McLeod had been farming at Potts Road, Ihakara, coming to Levin to "retire two years ago. He is survived by his wife, five sons and two daughters.
