MR. PATRICK HEALY
The death occurred in the Palmerston North Hospital last night of Mr. Patrick Healy, a well known Otaki resident. He had enjoyed good health until recent date, but on Thursday was taken to hospital, his condition then being grave, and he failed to rally. The late Mr. Healy, who had lived in Levin for many years, came to Otaki seven years ago, taking up his residence at the Family Hotel. He was highly respected and his jovial nature won for him many friends. He was a keen bowler, both in Levin and later Otaki, and a good sport generally. His death coming so unexpectedly caused a shock to his many friends. The deceased gentleman was born in Ir eland and came to New Zealand as a boy of fifieen years. He did a good deal of farm work in the Levin district and in his younger days worked on the roads, doing a great deal at Reikorangi. He also had a milk round in the Wellington district for a time. On Wednesday last Mr. Healy visited Paraparaumu, where he took a keen interest in the aircraft, and he was then in good health. His wife predeceased him some years ago. The funeral takes place at Otaki on Monday after requiem mass at the Catholic Church at 9 a.m.
