A Government expedition of about 50 heavy trucks is being prepared at Alicq Springs to take stores and heavy equipment into tlie areas in Central Australia to bfe prepared as the roeket range. The trucks will begin early next year to take water boring eqttipnient to selected sites, the first of which will be in inaceessible territory- in Western Austfalia. Alice Springs repidents claim this area is uninhabited, waterless and completely barren.
