Red Mite Near Gisborne

The red-legged mite which has been causing havoc in gardens in Hawke's Bay has now been discovered at Matawhero, Gisborne, bufc so far has not spread to the commercial gardens on the fiats. ,The senior entomologist of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research who made a quick tour of the fiats, explained that the mite might die out about the midclle of next month, but that it might reappear at the end of March, depehding on the autumn rains.
