YOUNG FARMERS' CLUB
MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otaki-Te Horo Young Farmers' Club was held in the Commercial Gardeners' Hall. There was a good attendance. There was considerable discussion on the preparing of talks and the meeting of the costs of the Y.F.C. radio session. It was decided that the secretary contact the district secretary and seek further information in regard to the radio session. Aftcr a lengthy discussion on the raising of funds for the Y.F.C. memorial scheme, which is to be a short term block at the Massey Agricultural College and a recreation block at the Lincoln Agricultural College, the following resolution was passed: "That each member be requested to donate £1, which will be forwarded to the council as a personal donation to the Y.F.C. memorial fund." A donation of £1 was made to the district committee fund. The chairman introduced Mr. E. R. Winkler, of Levin, who gave a most interesting talk on overseas travel. The evening closed with a vote of thanks to the speaker, and supper was served by members of the club.
