NEW APPOINTMENT OBTAINED In view of his appointnient to the position of town clerk at Picton, Mr. P. S. Crisp, who has been a member of the LeYin Borough Couneil's office staff for the past thirteen years, tendered his resignation to last evening's meeting. of the Levin Borough Council. Mr. Crisp assumes his new position on November 1. The Mayor (Mr. H. B. Burdekin) voiced appreciation of Mr. Crisp's service to the council and regret at Ms departure. He said Mr. Crisp Was going to a position which roeant promotion, aifd he would carry away the good wishes of the council for every happiness and success in it. Cr. F. E./Parker said the council had seen Mr. Crisp gr'ow' dp in the town, and was proud of his promofion. ^ , The resignation was accboted, Mr. Crisp saying how sorry he was to leave Levin and thanking the Mayor, council, town clerk (Mr. H.
