NEW PLYMOTJTH, Oct. 18. Few Taranaki local bodies will accept tlie invitatlon received from tbe Minister of Works, Hon. R,. Semple, to attend when he presents the departmental ten-year plan for Wanganui, Taranaki and the King Country at Wanganui next Monday. ' 'If Mr. Semple wants to give out a plan for Taranaki then let him come to Taranaki and give it out here, ' ' declared the chainnan of the Taranaki Local Bodies' Association, Mr. J. B. Murdoch, of Hawera, today. Mr. Murdoch said he thought most Taranaki local bodies would feel as he did. Inquiries made among local bodies today disclosed that not many would be represented at the meeting.
