FURTHER WOOL OFFERINGS
Received Saturdav, 1.10 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 18. Fnited Kingdom and Dumiuion WooJ Disposals have annouiieed furlher wool offerings at the forthcoming Liverpool, Bradford and T.ondon saies, thus increasing the original pre-Ghristmas prograrrime from 300,000 lo 400,000 baies. Tlie Yorkshire i'ost, editorially, deseribes the announeement as an important move for ihe regulated markeling of Dominion wool anl adds that wool values at the Dominion auclions have recently shown a rnarked upward tendency fargely as the result oi' foreign competition. Consequently, since the physical factors alone at present prevent ofl'ering increased quantities in the Dominions, the Joint Organisation proposes to feed the markets with in creased supplies from spot stoeks with the view of discouraging a price risc whicli might not be vvarranted by the world wool situation.
