Mrs. Walter Green (nee Betty Rolston), and her young son, left this week to take up residence in Christchurch, where Mr. Green is in business as an architect. The death has occurred at Newport, Rhode Island, of Mr. Thomas Pettitt, aged 86, holder of the world court -tennis championship from 1885 to 1898. He was the only professional to hold the United States iawn court and squash racquets championships simultaneously. He is credited with laying out the first tennis court in the United States when he came from England in .1873.
