LEVIN RED CROSS

OCTOBER MEETING The usual monthly meeting of Ihe Levin branch of the Red Cross Society was held recently in the W.D.F.F. rooms. Owing to the unavoidable detainment of the president (Miss H. E. Bowen), the chair was taken by Mrs. R. A. Donald.There was a good attendance and great interest was taken in the monthly report of the sewing guild. Mrs. Wilson stated that several parcels had been sent forward for dispatch to Britain, and that interest in the work was well main,ained. The president attended as .he meeting was about to close and read correspondence from Lady Duff, one letter containing narries of three necessitous persons in England. The branch decided to forward three parcels per month, one to each person. Afternoon tea was then dispensed dy Mesdames E. Clark and L. J. Hunter, after which the meeting closed.,
