Among the R.N.Z.A.F, personnel and. dependants returning to New Zealad by the Rangitata, which is expected to berth at Wellington on October 22, is Corporal B. Hafvey, son of Mr. H. Harvey, of Cambridge Street, Levin, and Mrs. Harvey. -Also on board is Miss Jinkinson, fiancee of Pte. W. A. Page, of Kuku, Ohau West, The management committee of the New Zealand Brass Bands' Association has appointed . Mr. Frank C. Johnston, Melbourne, judge of the New Zealand championship contest to be held in .Wanganui from February 23 to March 1, 1947. Mr. Johnston has been conducted for many years of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade Band, Melbourne, which has an outstanding record as a contest band.
