^ — LONDOS DISRUPTS PLANS

By Telegraph-

WELLINGTON, Oct. 15. The world wrestling chaiupion, Jim Londos, has decliiied to rneet Earl McCready for liis title but is prepared to meet> any other opponent. Adviee >to this effoe* l.as completely disrupled arraiigeiiient.s practically eompleted between Walter Aliller, promoter for the New Zealand Wrestling Association and Londos, for the latter to defeud liis title in this country. Praetieally everytliing was in train for Londos to eorne to New Zealand for two matches, said Mr. Miller. Enthusiasm for wrestling in this country pointed to great attendances. Detailing these arrangements Mr. Miller said he offered Londos last May two open air bouts in New Zealand in October and had roceived a cabled repiy agreeing to these plans. Later Londos advised that Mr. Ted Tliye, promoter in Australia, wanted liiiu there. Mr. Miller agreed to Londos going to Australia first and advised that the dates for the open air bouts in New Zealand would be November 30 and December 14, and also that the lirst match would be against McOready. ' ' Now Londos lias stated he is prepared to wrestle for liis title but not against McOready, " said Mr. Miller. "McOready is recognised as the best wrestler seen in this part of the world and naturally he is very disappointed at the turn in cvents. He is so confident of winning the title that he has issued a spccial cliallenge to wrestle Lodos over a two hours' time limit and if he cannot win by two falls in that time he is willing to forfeit his shar% of the takings." McOready clearly had the best.elaiin of any wrestler in Australia or New Zealand to meet the title holder, said Mr. Miller. If auyone disputed that, McOready was prepared to meet liirn.
