British car makcrs complain that the ifinistrv of Supply 's steel allocation will mean a cut of up to 50 per cent. in next year's- production, still higher new car priees and increased blackmarket trading, says the Daily Express. Morris Motors have issued a statement 4that "the cuts are so fantastie as to be Outside tbe range of commercial credibility". Austin Motors stated: "The hxport and home mafket situation next vear will be defmitely serious if the cuts stav. "
