SEASON'S FINAL GAME
LADY GOLFERS TO PLAY A TEAMS MATCH The ladies of the Levin Golf Club will play a match tomorrow (Wednesday) between teams under the captain and the vice-captain. The draw for this competition will take place at 1.15 p.m. at the clubhouse, and this is the final match for the 1946 season. The links are in much better playing order than they have been for some time, and it is hoped that there will be a good muster of players to make this a successful afternoon. Games in the club's championships were flnalised ~ during .the weekend under, ideal weather conditions, with the links in good order, although the fLnalists found the greens rather fast. •' In the senior championship over 36 holes, Miss Hosie defeated Mrs. Hastedt, the game finishing on the 30th green. The junior championship final between Mrs.' Black and Mrs. Rieliards, played -over 18 holes, was won by Mrs. Richards , by, six^nd five. Thanks khe due to Miss Herrick, who umpired' the morning round, and to Mrs.- Nicholson, who umpired during the afternoon for the senior championship, and to Mrs. Frankli'h, who acted as umpire for the junior final. Club members extend their congratulations to the successful finalists. In the final, competition of the season for C gTade players, played last Saturday, Miss Coleman gained three points and Mrs. Coutie two points. The winner of the points competition was Mrs. Coutie, who becomes holder of the Franklin Button for the season. The score Of 28 points was followed by that of Miss Coleman, who gained 17 points, with Miss Evison and Miss Walker next with 14 points each. Lady members are reminded thsit closing day will be held next Saturday, October 19, and are requested to bring a plate.
