WELLINGTON, Oct. 14. >South Island prices for export pig meat were announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. B. Roberts, today, who said it had now been decided to inerease the price of baconers (176/ 1851bs.) from 6fd to the new Nortli Island price of 7£d. Other South Island prices would remain unchanged. The new export schedule for both Islands for prime quality, operative from October 1, with the North Island price given first in each instance, is: — Porkers (60/1201bs.) 81d and 8|d. Heavy baconers (176/1851bs.) 7'2d and 7£d. There are no winter price increases. Second quality prices are gd a pound below prime.
