Reportiug to tlio Hawera County rouncil, Mr. G. W. Williains, who represented tlie eouncil at the sitting of the authority, said yeslerday lliat Mr. Skogluiul favoured eoutinuatioa of Saurday .rurul deliveries. After a sitting at Hawera ou Weduesday, he said, Mr. Skogluud tohi representat ives of the eoutraelors, the county couneil, .Federated Farmers and the postal authorities that he thought the continuation of the serviees was desirable. The niatter resolved itself into making an equitable linaneial arrangenient between the eontractors and the postal authorities. He suggested strong representations to the Postmaster-Geueral (Mr. Webb) on the niatter.
