AUCKLAND, Oct. 13. The photo-finish eamera was used officially in New Zealand for the first time at the opening of the Auckland Racing Club's spring meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday. Tne judge called for photos after the Mitcnelson Cup, and also after several later races in wkich minor place-getters were very close together. The weather was sunny with a cool breeze and the track was easy. The totalisator handled £197,101 10s compared with £179,956 10s last year, an increase of £17,145.
